Cannabis Oil in Skin Care by Ivory Rose Beauty Co

Recently, the skin care industry has introduced a taboo ingredient into the world: Cannabis Oil. Although legal in all fifty states, cannabis oil is still over looked by many people.

Its benefits are surprising and proven to be very beneficial to most skin types.

If you fall under the category of:  unwanted wrinkles, loss of collagen or just dull, tired looking skin [don’t we all] — then working cannabis oil into your skin care routine might be for you.

Cannabis oil is rich in vitamins A,C and E — Let me break down just how amazing that is!

Vitamin A — essential for sagging or wrinkled skin, it stimulates skin cell production.

Vitamin C —[possibly my favorite skin care ingredient of all time] stimulates collagen production. Collagen production is MAJOR in taking care of your skins overall health because it literally holds our bodies together.

Vitamin E — can slow down the aging process by blocking free radicals and reducing their damage [free radicals cause damage to our DNA causing it to age quicker].

If you fall under the category of annoying breakouts — cannabis oil helps reduce the amount of oil in our skin which in turn keeps our pores from clogging and getting those nasty blackheads. If you have active break outs, the cannabis oil can act as an anti-inflammatory which will calm the irritation.

Still not convinced this new ingredient is for you? It was recently shown in studies to help with skin allergies, rosacea, eczema and even psoriasis. It even can even offer pain relief from common ailments like bug bites, brush burns, scratches, etc.

To me cannabis oil sounds like the holy grail ingredient we have been searching for! There is not much it can not do, let us girls at Ivory Rose know if you try it out for yourself.

The RUNDOWN - January Edition by Ivory Rose Beauty Co

I’ve decided that in 2019 I will test a hand full of  products a month [ starting with challenges I encounter on the daily ] in hopes to find products that live up to their claims — and hopefully help you along the way!

SUM UP   =   G O L D

Thats correct, my friends! The answer to my thirsty scalp needs!

A little backstory— for those of you who have been following or who’ve known me for a while, know that with my pregnancy came extremely dry skin [ which obviously included my scalp ]. Once I began suffering  with dry skin + scalp and doing research to find some sort of relief, I would constantly run across articles stating that you should “treat your scalp the same as your face”. Of course when I read this I’m thinking — “duh Jennifer… its an extension of your face, it deserves the same TLC”. So I tried it, micellar water, oils, masks…. you name it, I tried it. While it all made since in my mind and in the articles, it just wasn’t lining up. SOMETHING WAS MISSING!!!

Insert Kristin Ess’s brilliant mind. While yes, your scalp is an extension of your face – it also houses the root of your hair [ which has its’ own specific needs].

Scalp Purifying Micellar Shampoo — When I say my hair has NEVER felt so clean, it’s not an exaggeration! Honestly, while I truly love every product from this line, the kween could have just launched this ONE PRODUCT and my life would have been changed.

Weightless Hydration Daily Scalp + Hair Mask — Being that I have fine hair, it  has always been difficult for me to find a hydrating mask/product that didn’t leave my hair a greasy mess. Well the Kristin Ess, of course killed the game and FINALLY a hydrating mask that I can use!!!!

*Note: I have found, through trial and error, that I cannot use this product every wash [ I should be embarrassed to admit, but I only wash my hair every 3-4 days]. I noticed that every other or every two washes are my sweet spots for a healthy, hydrated scalp.*

Scalp Detoxifying Bubble Mask — This product here is without a doubt my #2 of this collection! Its gentle enough for when my scalp is extra sensitive dryness + light enough to not weigh my hair down! A bonus, the fun “pop rocks” sensation – freaking  SO FUN!

*This product out of the collection is the best [for my hair type] for removing any buildup from my scalp.*

Instant Exfoliating Scalp Scrub — Just like every other product in this collection, it’s a freaking winner! For me specifically, this is an every 2 weeks product. I love how I’m able to scrub any flakes away [oh be still my loving heart].

Anytime Anywhere Scalp + Hair Milk Oil — this milk oil is so soothing that I want to bathe in it! For me, depending on the weather [ + my hormones ] my scalp get so uncomfortable – but this milk oil has given me relief. I have used it after a shower, on wet hair – on my scalp when my hair was dry – on my ends + I’m still finding ways to use this versatile product!

*Specifically for my fine hair, I have to use the smallest drops and distribute with my fingers throughout my scalp. So beware that if you have fine hair like me, you DO NOT want to use a full dropper!

An added bonus, this packaging IS EVERYTHING!!!!

The Roundup —

These products truly live up to their hype, plus they are super affordable!

Hello, Friends! by Ivory Rose Beauty Co

Hello, Friends!

It’s been a minute (or months) since I’ve been here. For that I apologize.

This post is to give you a little recap of 2018 and what I’ve learned.

To start off here is a picture of my little family in Colorado, celebrating the love + marriage of family  (just incase you forgot what I look like )

First, I added a wonderful Lead Makeup Artist/ Skin Consultant/ Right Hand Woman to the team.

Meet Caroline! She is a licensed esthetician – skin enthusiast – makeup bada** + cutest cat mom  e v e r!

Shortly after Caroline coming on board (as in two weeks) my husband and I found out we were pregnant with our little miracle – which explained why I had been so sick (face palm…should have known). This began the very eye opening/wonderful experience of pregnancy. I know everyone says your life will change once you have a baby, but I guess my little guy wanted to prepare me while he was still in the womb. To make a long story short, I was very sick – had the strangest [minor] challenges throughout my entire pregnancy, and went into labor and delivered (unexpectedly + quickly) at 36 weeks 6 days (for all of you mama’s, you know what a difference that one day makes- especially for hospital protocol). Since then we have been trying to navigate being a couple post baby, parents, and growing all three of our business at the same time. It was definitely a year of learning.

As much of a world wind I feel 2018 had been, I continued to be surrounded and inspired by so many powerful boss women – and for that I am forever grateful. The constant encouragement of these ladies, and Caroline especially, it has given me the drive to take 2019 by the horns and give it my all.

2018 was a year of  –  change, growth, learning + adaptation.

2019 is the year of –  serving  Y O U + giving back to the creative community.

I hope you all stay on for this ride + somewhere along the way, get a little something from my journey.

Here’s a few pictures of our 2018 for you to enjoy

Lots of cuddles – new cousins – new baby friends – photo shoots with Local Honey Baby – traveling + loads of family.
